I’m Carolina, an Argentinean-Chilean ceramist living and making pots in Margate, UK.
My work is hand-built primarily using slabs and using black stoneware and porcelain clays.
I combine my interests in art, architecture, maths and geometry by making moon jars and functional slab-built pottery decorated with bold geometric patterning.
There's something compelling to me in intense contrasts - black stoneware and white porcelain provides exactly the tactile and visual surface I look for - a canvas to work on.
